Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Chitral
Depart Islamabad and drive north through Dir and the Lowari Tunnel into Chitral. Enjoy the dramatic Hindu Kush scenery en route and check in by evening.
Day 2 — Chitral Town & Fort
Explore Chitral town, the historic Chitral Fort and the Shahi Mosque, with views of Tirich Mir, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush. Visit the bazaar before overnight in Chitral.
Day 3 — Kalash Valleys (Bumburet)
Drive into the Kalash valleys, mainly Bumburet, to experience the unique culture, wooden homes and traditions of the Kalash people among orchards and streams.
Day 4 — Return to Islamabad
After breakfast, begin the long and scenic return journey from Chitral back to Islamabad.
