Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Chilas
Begin the journey up the Karakoram Highway via Besham to Chilas along the Indus gorge. Overnight in Chilas.
Day 2 — Chilas to Hunza
Continue along the KKH past the Nanga Parbat viewpoint and the junction of three ranges to Hunza, with Rakaposhi views.
Day 3 — Central Hunza & Forts
Explore Karimabad, Baltit and Altit forts and the bazaar, with a sunset at Eagle’s Nest.
Day 4 — Attabad Lake & Passu
Visit Attabad Lake, the Hussaini bridge and the Passu Cones in upper Hunza.
Day 5 — Khunjerab Pass
Drive up to Khunjerab Pass on the Pakistan-China border, then return to Hunza for the night.
Day 6 — Hunza to Skardu
Scenic drive along the KKH and Indus valley from Hunza to Skardu. Overnight in Skardu.
Day 7 — Skardu Lakes
Spend the day at Shangrila and the Kachura lakes, with photos and optional boating.
Day 8 — Cold Desert & Shigar
Explore the Katpana cold desert and the restored Shigar Fort, with time in Skardu bazaar.
Day 9 — Deosai & Sheosar Lake
Full-day excursion onto the Deosai plateau to the beautiful Sheosar Lake.
Day 10 — Return Journey
Begin the long, scenic return drive down the Karakoram Highway toward Islamabad.
